Review on Dear My Name

Dear My Name

(Kdrama)

No. of Episodes : 6
Duration : 10 min each
Genre : Fantasy, Romance
Actors : Song Yoo Jung, Gongchan, etc.

My Rating: 9/10

My Review:
Short but amazing! As expected from a Korean Drama, the direction, acting, music, visuals, etc. were all awesome. The storyline was also beautiful. I fell in love with it at the first sight.

*Spoilers ahead* I really liked how the male protagonist thought that the female protagonist was actually a male. It was quite funny at first but I admire how he overcome the barrier and gave an example of "Love is Love". He first was a little scared and worried about how he fell in love with a guy so he told that he is unnamed (means he was not having any other person's-his soulmate's- name engraved on him) but later ended up falling for a guy who was actually a girl ~lol.

I also liked how the story of the drama said that we all have the name of our soulmates written somewhere on our bodies but some are unnamed until they actually come across that person. I really loved this fantasy as it was beautiful and funny at the same time.

The drama also taught us to be courageous and confess before it's too late. We should not be scared of taking a step further when life provides us the chance or otherwise that time will never come again and we will miss that opportunity.

In conclusion, I would to say that though the series is quite small but it is very beautiful and lovely. I will recommend you all to watch it and can say your time will not be wasted. Teenagers will surely love it and may want to watch it again. You all will surely smile at the cute scene of "yes pizza" and get teary eyes after feeling the unsaid love of a character. All in all, it's a great series.

Do watch it and hope this was useful at some level. Thank you all for being patient and reading it. Please keep supporting me. Love ya all!

Review on Ratatouille

Ratatouille

Movie time: 1h 51m

Genre: Animation, Family

Release date: June, 2007

My rating: 9.5/10

My Review:
Yet another great movie by Disney!
Fell in love with the masterpiece at the first sight. Incroyable! (amazing in french).

I liked the storyline of the movie very much. Like how there was a little mouse who always dreamt of becoming a chef and admired a french chef but didn't knew that he has been staying in France ever since he was born. So Disney like right? ~jk :D

In the movie I really liked two lines that are "Anyone may not be able to cook but a great cook can be anyone." and "Critics just criticize the work in which a lot of efforts have been put but still they are given a higher level than the people who actually put in all the efforts." because they talk a great deal in these lines. They were very meaningful to me.

And of course the setting of the movie was of France so there had to be be a beautiful love story in the movie as France is the city of love. Many must have noticed the story of Linguini and Colette but only a few must have noticed the story of Linguini's mom and chef Gusteau which was beautiful too.

The movie also talks about an amazing relationship between a father and a son to via the relationship of Remy the rat and his dad Django.
*spoilers ahead* At first he didn't liked his son interacting with humans due to his love for his son but then he helped him later when Remy needed him the most also due to love and also due to his belief in his son.

To conclude, it is a great story with great animation and visuals. A must watch family movie according to me. It teaches a lot of morals like belief in oneself, diligence for our passion, friendship, etc. The list will go one ~hahaha. After watching it you will surely feel that your time was not wasted and may even want to see it again. So, Happy Watching and thank you for reading this. Hope it was of some use :) Have a great day ahead. Bye!!! <3

Review on Laxmii

Laxmii

Movie time: 2h 21m

Main actors: Akshay Kumar(Laxmi bomb), Kiara Advani(Rashmi), Sharad Kelkar(Laxmi), etc.

Genre: Adventure, Horror, Comedy

Release date: November, 2020

My rating: 8/10

My Review:

It was one of the best horror movies I have ever seen. Though this is a remake of the movie Kanchana by the same director as laxmii's (Raghawa Lawrence) still the story, the acting, the direction, everything is great, even the songs are superb. It talks about many social issues like inequality between genders especially between the 'normal' and the LGBT community.

The plot of the movie is quite interesting and even emotional at some points. And of course it's just not a horror in name because some scenes will give you goosebumps but it's not so scary because the comedy took away some scenes which could have been very scary. I think it's a good thing so that more people can watch this movie.

The movie also talks about inter religion marriage which i think is not a good point because it causes disturbances in the communities these days due to which conflicts are also broken at places.

*spoilers ahead* In the movie when laxman was thrown away by her parents because of her uniqueness as she was a transgender, when she was starving, she was adopted by someone who didn't even knew her. He gave her food, renamed her Laxmi and even let her adopt a kid like her own. Through this maybe the writer wants to convey that people like lax also have a right to live life happily and maybe there are still kind people left in this materialistic world.

In the movie Laxmi also talks about giving education to her adopted child so that she becomes a capable human and of course she became a capable and beautiful person. This points out that even people who are said to be 'not normal' by the society should get equal education as everyone else so that they do not have to beg or use any other means which are not good to earn their bread.

In a nutshell, it was a great movie, worth watching for comedy horror lovers.

Thank you everyone! Have a great day ahead! <3

Review on Aladdin (2019)

Aladdin (2019)

Movie time: 2h 8min
Main actors: Mena Massoud(Aladdin), Will Smith(Genie), Naomi Scott(Jasmine), etc.
Genre: Romance, Fantasy

My rating: 9/10

My review:

Aladdin is a remake of the animated movie therefore the story is same as the story of Aladdin and the magical lamp.

But what I loved about this movie is it's acting and direction. The movie itself is very beautiful but the great acting makes it fantastic.
The music and dances in between takes it to another level. It is a must watch for Disney lovers.

The message that I think the movie conveys is also very kind. It says that wealth is not as big as truth and power is not as great as love.
With truth, love and courage, even the greatest battles can be won.
It also points at the freedom that the female protagonist and the Genie wanted which talks about every person of the society who is under someones control.
To be free is to have courage like princess Jasmine who was able to convince the king, her dad that she was no less than other sons.

Like every character displays some messages, a very important message is also conveyed by Jafar, the villain of our story. He tells every one watching that too much greed can lead to self destruction.
The movie also displays the beautiful bond that is friendship through the bond between Genie and Aladdin as well as Jasmine and her Dalia (her servant). Furthermore, it talks about no matter how poor a person maybe from outside, but the greatness is hidden inside.

I would recommend all of you this movie as these 2 hours were not a waste. Great movie to watch with family or friends!!

Thank you everyone! Stay safe and healthy and remember to read the other reviews that I am going to post. :))))
